Azalea Health Billing Services

Azalea Health supports different care settings, so a billing proposal should start with the type of practice and the workflow in use. Synergy reviews ambulatory claim work, posting and follow-up needs before defining the services it can take on.

Distinguish the clinic from the wider organization

Azalea lists practice management, ambulatory EHR and rural hospital solutions separately. We identify the product and the legal entity whose claims need attention. An independent physician office and a hospital-owned or rural clinic may have different billing responsibilities.

For an RHC, FQHC or another special payment arrangement, we first establish the claim types, payer rules and who owns that specialist workflow. A general office-billing proposal should not assume those services are interchangeable.

Locate the work between registration and submission

The assessment follows missing insurance details, unsigned encounters, charge review and claims awaiting action. We ask your staff to identify the actual bottleneck instead of assuming the software itself is the cause.

A written responsibility list keeps front-office tasks, provider documentation and billing work connected. Questions that require clinical judgment go back to the clinician rather than being resolved by changing the claim without support.

Reconcile remittances and unresolved balances

Posting work should explain what happened to a balance, not simply remove it from an aging report. We review the process for electronic remittances, paper explanations of benefits, adjustments and any unapplied payments.

For payer follow-up, we agree which accounts enter the work list, how previous actions are preserved and when an issue is returned to the practice. Patient responsibility is checked against adjudication and applicable instructions before statement work is assigned.

Coordinate with existing Azalea services

If your practice already uses a vendor billing service, we review the current division of work and any contractual restrictions. Additional support might be a scoped task or a planned transition; it should not create two teams independently changing the same claims.

User access, a business associate agreement, reporting and fees are confirmed before work starts. This page offers an assessment of support for your setup and does not imply an Azalea partnership or hospital billing authorization.

What to discuss first

  • Azalea product and care setting, including any RHC or facility arrangement.
  • Professional versus facility claim scope.
  • Current billing owner and any vendor service agreement.
  • Main problem: unbilled work, exceptions, posting or payer follow-up.

Common questions

Does this cover all Azalea hospitals and rural clinics?

No blanket scope is assumed. We must assess the care setting, claim types, contractual requirements and available staff capability before accepting the work.

Can our front desk keep eligibility work?

Yes, a shared workflow can be considered. The proposal should state which checks your staff retain and how missing information reaches the billing team.
