Greenway Intergy Billing Services
Greenway Intergy brings practice management and clinical charting together, which can make billing conversations vague about where the work actually happens. This page deals with the business side: claim control, eligibility, posting and reporting. It also explains what is checked before any support scope is discussed, including version, hosting, permissions and contract terms.
Practice management work is separate from charting
Greenway Intergy includes practice-management and clinical functions. Synergy can discuss claim control, eligibility, payment posting, denial follow-up and billing reports within the practice-management workflow. We identify the work your team wants to retain and the queues that need billing support.
Billing and coding work may require relevant clinical documentation as well as claim access. The practice approves role-based access limited to the agreed work, rather than sharing a broad administrator login. We confirm hosting, version and available functions before setting up the handoff.
Claim control and eligibility checks
Intergy claim control is where claims are reviewed, corrected and released, and eligibility checking is how coverage is confirmed before or around the visit. The two connect: an eligibility problem found early can prevent a denial that claim control would otherwise chase later.
The review asks when eligibility is run, what happens when a response is unclear or missing, and who is allowed to resolve claim edits. It also asks how the practice distinguishes a claim that was never released from one that was released and rejected.
Payment posting and reporting
Posting is the step that connects payer remittances to the practice's financial picture, and Intergy reporting is what turns posted activity into something a manager can read. A handoff has to respect both. Posting errors propagate into reports, and reports drive decisions about staffing and follow-up.
The assessment covers who posts payments and adjustments, how deposits are reconciled, which reports are reviewed and by whom, and how a posting question gets resolved. Those details determine whether partial support is practical or whether the whole posting cycle needs one owner.
Version, hosting and permission validation
Intergy has multiple versions and can be deployed in different hosting arrangements, and user permissions are configured per practice. None of that is assumed here. Product, version, hosting, access method and the specific permissions a support user would receive are confirmed first.
We review contract permissions and a business associate agreement alongside the access setup. Scope, reporting responsibilities and fees are agreed in writing before work begins.
What to discuss first
- Which Intergy version and hosting arrangement is the practice running?
- Which billing functions sit in Intergy practice management, and which are handled elsewhere?
- When is eligibility checked, and who resolves unclear or missing responses?
- How are payments reconciled to deposits, and which reports are reviewed each week?
Common questions
We use Intergy for the EHR. Does that mean billing is included?
We confirm the practice-management product, modules and user permissions your practice actually uses. Having an Intergy clinical record does not by itself establish the billing access available to an outside service.
Can an outside team handle eligibility checks?
It can be considered, but timing matters. Eligibility is most useful before or at the visit, and an outside team may not be positioned for that. The review decides whether eligibility belongs in scope, stays with front office staff, or is split with clear rules about who responds when a check fails.
What access would an outside team need?
That is settled after the version, hosting and permission review. Access is limited to the functions in scope under a signed business associate agreement, and the practice approves the specific permissions granted. Broad administrative access is not assumed.
