Neurology Medical Billing Services

Neurology practices may need support for office visits, diagnostic testing or services performed in other settings. Synergy starts by identifying which professional charges your practice owns and where documentation or payer questions hold up billing.

Separate the service from the testing arrangement

We ask which services are performed by your practice, which are referred out and which involve a separate testing or interpretation arrangement. The work plan should follow the actual billing owner instead of assuming that every test mentioned in a note belongs on the practice's claim.

For practices working across offices and hospitals, we reconcile the source of charges and the responsible provider. That helps locate work that has been documented but has not reached the correct billing queue.

Give documentation questions a clear route

Diagnostic-test and procedure claims may need information about the service performed, its components or the supporting clinical record. We identify what is missing and return clinical questions to the appropriate provider.

Coding review uses the current requirements that apply to the service and payer. Units, components and related services are checked before submission or correction; a denied line is not simply resubmitted with a different modifier.

Keep recurring follow-up from becoming a blind spot

We can assess help with claim status work, rejections, payer documentation requests and posting exceptions. Each account should carry the previous action, next step and person responsible when the practice must supply more information.

For medication administration or another additional service line, we confirm its workflow and expertise requirements separately. A general neurology billing proposal should not silently assume every infusion, facility or laboratory task is included.

What to discuss first

  • Office, hospital and diagnostic services included in the request.
  • Testing and interpretation ownership.
  • Documentation handoffs and common payer requests.
  • System access, current billing team and reporting needs.

Common questions

Can we retain our clinical and scheduling systems?

We assess work in the existing billing arrangement first. Access, reports and the handoff from the clinical system must support the requested tasks.

Does this include every neurodiagnostic service?

The actual services and claim types are reviewed before scope is accepted. Additional testing or facility arrangements are not automatically included.
