WebPT Billing Services
A therapy practice needs each completed visit to reach the right billing workflow. Synergy assesses billing support for practices using WebPT products, with attention to the handoff between documentation, charge review, claims and payment exceptions.
Which WebPT billing workflow are you using?
WebPT describes several billing products, including WebPT Billing for larger practices and Therabill for smaller businesses. We identify the actual billing product, connected systems and the roles your practice can assign before proposing work.
The software vendor's billing services, software subscription and an independent billing engagement are different arrangements. If another team already manages claims, we establish a handoff rather than assuming every task is available to an additional vendor.
Follow the visit through charge review
Therapy billing work depends on complete documentation and the appropriate payer requirements. We ask how visits awaiting signatures, authorization questions, units and corrections reach the billing team. Clinical support for services remains with the treating provider.
The proposed work list separates visits not yet ready to bill from claims that have already left the system. This makes it easier to resolve the missing step without recreating encounters or sending duplicate claims.
Keep authorization and claim exceptions connected
An authorization-related denial may require information from scheduling, the clinical team or the payer. We agree how those questions are assigned and escalated, and whether authorization coordination is within the contracted scope. It is not automatically included in billing support.
For claim follow-up, the team needs prior submission history, payer responses and the relevant documentation. We agree how to track due dates and return unresolved clinical or coverage questions to the practice.
Posting should leave a clear account history
WebPT documents billing and reporting capabilities, but available tools depend on the product and permissions. The assessment checks the actual remittance workflow, manual exceptions and the reports your practice can use to reconcile open balances.
We confirm payment posting, adjustment authority, patient balance handling and reporting in writing. No vendor performance statistics are presented as Synergy results, and no reimbursement outcome is guaranteed.
What to discuss first
- WebPT Billing, Therabill or another connected billing product.
- Therapy disciplines, locations and the payer mix.
- Who tracks authorization status and resolves documentation questions.
- Requested support for current claims, posting or a historical backlog.
Common questions
Does using WebPT mean authorization work is included?
No. Billing and authorization coordination must be scoped separately. The proposal identifies who checks status, obtains information and follows outstanding requests.
Can you help with a therapy claim backlog?
We can assess the backlog, access and claim history first. Any accepted cleanup scope will identify the accounts, available records and reporting; payment is not guaranteed.
