Fictional example — not a client result or a forecast. All figures and scenarios below are invented to explain the format. They do not describe a Synergy client or promise an outcome.
Use these examples to discuss the reports and review arrangements your practice needs. The final content, definitions and available detail depend on your systems, source data and agreed service scope.
Sample monthly billing report
A monthly review can connect collections and aging balances with the next actions. This example covers May 1–31, 2026, with A/R measured on May 31.
| Measure | Example | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Insurance receipts | $72,000 | Insurance payments posted during May. |
| Patient receipts | $18,000 | Patient payments posted during May. |
| Total receipts | $90,000 | $72,000 + $18,000. Receipts are not charges or net profit. |
| Open insurance A/R | $100,000 | Unpaid insurance balances as of May 31. |
| Insurance A/R over 120 days | $25,000 / 25% | $25,000 divided by $100,000. Age measured from date of service in this example. |
Example next step: review the $25,000 older balance by claim status, identify what requires practice information and agree who follows up. An aging balance is not a prediction of what can be collected.
Sample billing audit summary
This example reviews a fictional set of 100 aged claims with $20,000 in open balances as of May 31, 2026. Each claim is assigned to one primary work bucket, so the totals do not overlap. This is a separate example from the monthly report above.
| Primary work bucket | Claims / balance | Example next action |
|---|---|---|
| Awaiting payer resolution | 60 / $12,000 | Billing team checks status, payer response and any applicable deadline. |
| Practice information needed | 25 / $5,000 | Practice contact resolves the requested information; billing team reviews the next step. |
| Posting reconciliation | 15 / $3,000 | Posting team compares payment records with the open balances. |
| Total reviewed | 100 / $20,000 | Agree on owners, priorities and review dates. |
Flagged balances are not guaranteed recoveries. Payment may depend on coverage, documentation, deadlines, prior payment and other claim-specific facts. This example does not assign a collectible amount.
